The positioning and economic growth of microenterprises are key aspects for strengthening local competitiveness. Therefore, it is necessary to identify the factors that influence business performance. This research aimed to analyze the factors that affect the positioning and economic growth of microenterprises in the city of Chachapoyas. A quantitative study was conducted using a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive-exploratory design. The population consisted of 545 microentrepreneurs, and the sample comprised 118 microenterprises, selected from a sampling frame organized by economic sector. A structured survey was administered, covering administrative, human resource, financial-accounting, and technological dimensions. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, cluster analysis, principal component analysis, and canonical correlation analysis. The results showed that the administrative factor had the greatest perceived impact in 13 of the 18 sectors analyzed, representing 72.22%. Principal component analysis identified that human talent and technological factors were related, while financial-accounting and administrative factors formed a second group. Furthermore, canonical correlation analysis showed that the variables closest to the internal axes presented the most representative values and, therefore, made a greater contribution to the model. In Dimension 1, the financial-accounting factor proved to be the most influential, whereas in Dimension 2, the administrative factor predominated. It is concluded that administrative and financial-accounting factors have greater relative relevance in the positioning and economic growth patterns perceived by the microenterprises evaluated in Chachapoyas.
